Kurier Lite: Designing a Typeface for Digital Typesetting

Kurier Lite. This makes the typeface more suitable for digital typesetting. Kurier is a two-element sans serif typeface designed by the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in 1975 for use in linotype typesetting for newspapers and periodicals. The typeface is known for its resistance to technological processes that can damage letter shapes, as well as its white spaces between and around characters and ink traps at the cross-sections of some letter elements. To make the typeface more suitable for digital typesetting, an alternate version - Kurier Lite - was developed, which does not include ink traps. This typeface has been used in a variety of settings, from professional publications to personal projects, and is still popular today.Iwona font family.
