The design of Ambra Sans is a modern reinvention of the classic humanist sans typeface Tarif. Developed by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini and Francesco Canovaro, Ambra Sans preserves the spirit of handmade calligraphy, while providing the technical capabilities of a contemporary and post-digital font. This font family offers two subfamilies with slight differences. The display family has a tall x-height and a single story lowercase g for better branding, and the text family has a smaller x-height for more traditional proportions. Ambra Sans also has seven weights with corresponding true italics, and an extra heavy weight for the display family. Each font contains over 600 glyphs for wide language coverage, and open type features and glyph alternates add even more possibilities. Ambra Sans is the perfect font for a designer looking for a modern, humanistic approach to contemporary sans type.
