Lovelace is a stylish and sophisticated calligraphic elzevir that is a modern revival of Renaissance style hand-lettering. It offers a more approachable and less formal alternative to the classic Bodonian serifs. With 30 unique styles, Lovelace offers both readability and flexibility for a range of needs. The text variant provides a generous x-height and is optimized for digital screens, while the display variant provides sharp contrast and thin details for editorial and titling use. In addition, the italics are heavily influenced by calligraphy and feature lush swashes and connected lowercase letters.
Lovelace is designed to accommodate a range of languages and alphabets, including latin, cyrillic, and greek.
