Death of Typography is a young type collective that practices, researches and explores type through creative inquiry and collaboration. The Death of Typography Foundry hosts open source fonts under the SIL Open Font License (see LICENSE OFL.txt).

Straits Sans is a project that aims to investigate the ways we can leverage on modern technology in font production to push the boundaries of typography in local graphic design practice. The typefaces produced are inspired by the fonts used in an early 1900s publication called the ‘The Straits Times Annual’ by the Straits Times Printing Press. The outcomes are digitisations reinterpreted with current technology for contemporary use.
