Inspired by Filipino Sign Makers and the typography found in the streets of Manila, Dangwa Free is an homage to the hardworking Manggagawang Pilipino who spend their days navigating the jeepneys, taxis and tricycles, selling goods in the marketplace, and running small shops. Every curve of the typeface is an expression of the Filipino people’s tenacity and resilience. Crafted by Aaron Amar, a proud Filipino, Dangwa Free is a reminder of the Philippines’ vibrant culture and the drive of its people.
