Asteristico is a hand lettered typeface inspired by vernacular design and created for an academic work at UFPR (Federal University of Paraná). It was born out of the need to celebrate the unique art form that is urban hand lettering found in the city of Curitiba-PR/Brazil. The typeface pays homage to this unique craft and expresses the unique character of its creators.
